Limit Guest Navigation on iPad
If you are planning to use iPads, we recommend saving the link to your Kiosk menu on the home screen of the iPad, then turning on Guided Access. Guided Access will allow you to lock down the iPad to a specific app.
Enable Restrictions on iPad
If you’d like to ensure that customers don’t leave the kiosk website, you’ll need to enable restrictions on Safari. Follow the instructions for enabling restrictions, which can be found in Apple’s Support Center.
Hide the Toolbar on Safari
You may want to hide the toolbar at the top of the screen to discourage customers from trying to navigate off the kiosk link. To do this, follow the instructions for customizing toolbars on Safari, which can be found in Apples’s Support Center.
Limit Guest Navigation on Chrome
To help protect your customer’s information, we have a few recommendations:
- Keep your Dutchie Kiosk URL link loaded on an incognito or private window on your browser. This is to ensure that the browser doesn’t try to autosave any payment information provided.
- Adjust your browser settings so customers are not prompted to save or autofill any information. If you’re using Google Chrome, visit chrome://settings/payments.
- Adjust your browser settings so that the cookies in the browser are cleared frequently (or not captured at all).
