Socket S740 2D Barcode Scanner PN#CX3431-1881 is a universal Bluetooth Barcode Scanner, able to read 1D and 2D barcodes on paper and screen. The S740 has been enhanced to scan small barcodes and has a scanning range of 2 to 19 inches. Reads 1D, 2D, OCR A & B fonts, OCR USC, OCR passport, OCR MICR (E13B) fonts, and DotCode, covering most travel identification documents, including passports, international IDs, and micro QR codes on drivers’ licenses.
The S740 is an ideal option for the many POS/retail outlets that require age verification. For retail businesses that sell cannabis, alcohol, or tobacco, the S740 is an all-in-one scanning device, allowing workers to verify age and complete POS operations with a single device, minimizing the equipment needed.
