A&D Scale PN MF-50 is a professional heat-drying moisture analyzer designed for fast, accurate moisture-content measurement in food production, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, agriculture, cannabis and hemp processing, laboratories, manufacturing, quality control, and research applications. The MF-50 combines a precision 51 g weighing capacity with 0.002 g weight readability and selectable moisture-content display resolutions of 0.05%, 0.1%, and 1%. Using A&D’s advanced weighing technology and a 400-watt halogen heating system with Secondary Radiation Assist (SRA), the MF-50 provides fast, uniform heating to help produce consistent moisture-analysis results across a wide variety of solid, powder, paste, and liquid samples.

The A&D MF-50 uses the loss-on-drying method, determining moisture content by measuring the change in sample weight before and during controlled heating. Its Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS) weighing technology provides dependable measurement performance, while the SRA heating system is designed to distribute heat efficiently and reduce uneven heating and hot spots. The MF-50 supports a drying-temperature range of 50°C to 200°C in 1°C increments, allowing operators to optimize testing conditions for different materials and applications.

For repeatable moisture testing, the MF-50 offers multiple measurement programs, including Standard, Automatic, Quick, Timer, and Manual modes, along with selectable heating patterns for different sample characteristics. Moisture results can be expressed on a wet basis, dry basis, dry-content basis, ratio basis, or as weight, providing flexibility for laboratory and production requirements. The analyzer stores up to 10 measurement program settings and up to 50 measurement results, helping operators standardize recurring tests and review previous measurements.

The MF-50 provides moisture-content repeatability of approximately 0.20% standard deviation for samples over 1 g and 0.05% for samples over 5 g under specified test conditions. Its 85 mm diameter sample pan provides a practical testing area for evenly distributing samples, while the large vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) clearly presents measurement values, operating status, and moisture changes throughout the drying process. A viewing window allows operators to observe the sample during heating, and the analyzer includes a self-check function to support routine performance verification.

Standard bi-directional RS-232C connectivity allows the MF-50 to communicate with compatible computers, printers, and data-collection systems. The analyzer supports data output for GLP, GMP, GCP, and ISO-oriented workflows, including information such as time and date, identification data, calibration information, and check records. These capabilities make the MF-50 suitable for organizations that require documented moisture-analysis procedures and consistent quality-control processes.
