Follow the below steps if we are unable to troubleshoot a Zebra hardware issue, and it is determined that the hardware needs to be replaced.

1. Collect all hardware information (i.e S/N and PN)
2. Contact Zebra Phone Support
3. Provide hardware information and detailed description of issue.
4. Have a case opened and retrieve the case number.
5. Contact Steven Wicheal via email (CC Management) inside of the ticketing system.
6. Make a note of the case in your records for future reference.

Zebra DS2278 scanner cradle that was not working, Below are the steps we used to resolve the issue

1. Disconnect cradle from PC
2. Scan – “Enable parameter Batch Mode” page 132
3. Scan “USB HID KB” page 157
4. Place in cradle
5. Connect cradle (USB End) to PC
6. Verify  that the CR2278 cradle has a stable green LED
7. Pair scanner to cradle and test scan

b. Plug ZD Printer into the computer with USB and power it on (wait for lights)
c. Open Printers/scanners
d. In Zebra setup select Refresh Printer list
e. Open communication with printer
f. Copy/paste Zebra Code
i. Change UI Setvar Bluetooth-friendly name
ii. DELETE LAST TWO LETTERS OF ZEBRA IN THE LINE AND UPDATE LAST 4 OF SERIAL NUMBER
iii. Send to printer twice
g. Send to printer
h. Wait for the first light to turn green
i. Close and don’t save
j. Remove device
k. Refresh
